What the client needed
Whitehorse City Council wanted a dedicated outdoor fitness area for older residents at Tunstall Park. The space needed accessible, low-impact equipment suited to seniors, with seating for rest breaks and a safe, non-slip surface underfoot.
The gym area sits among established trees that needed root zone protection during excavation and surfacing works. Equipment footings and rubber surfacing had to be installed without disturbing the existing root systems.
What we delivered
We prepared the site, installed footings for all equipment stations, and laid blue rubber surfacing across the full exercise area, connecting it back to the existing park path network.
